The Google Ads interface

Before you can set up your first ads, you need to be able to navigate your way around the many Google Ads screens and reports. This video guides you around the interface, showing you where to find the main features.

We're going to focus on the screens and reports you'll use most often, and the features that are most important to new Ad Grant users.

Check you're in Expert mode

If your screen doesn't look as complex as the one I'm demonstrating when you login to ads.google.com check whether you're in Expert mode and if not, switch to it. Here are the instructions: support.google.com/google-ads/answer/9520605.

Probably the most important piece of advice you'll ever get about using Google Ads

Buy the biggest, widest monitor that you can fit on your desk. To use Google Ads effectively, you'll need to view a lot of columns of data, and a wide screen will save you a lot of awkward horizontal scrolling!
