How to put P-Max ads onto Google Maps (a must-watch for local nonprofits)
Your Google Ad Grant can put your ads, not just into Google search results, but also onto Google Maps, including in the Google Ads app.
Which nonprofits could benefit most? Museums, galleries, churches, animal shelters, community cafes, charity shops. If your nonprofit's reach is mainly local, particularly if you want visits or support from your area, and especially if you want people to drop in, then this is a very useful technique.
Very few nonprofits seem to be aware that they use maps, even though the ability to do this has existed since early 2025.
Only a Performance Max campaign can put ads onto Google Maps, not a Search campaign. First you're going to need to set up a Google Business profile. Once that's approved you can link to it and set up a location asset in Google Ads.
